Minister of Music

Rev. Jason & Anna Hunt

               Rev. Jason Erick Hunt received his call to ministry at age a very young age. Early on in his life, he had a passion for music and ministry. Jason is a Native American from the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and the youngest of four children. He comes from the Saddletree Church of God, where he was groomed under the leadership of Rev Dr. Millard Maynard, Senior Pastor, and Rev. Tommy Cox, Music Pastor.

               Jason received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Indian Studies, with a minor in Music (Voice) from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2006. With all plans to teach elementary school in Robeson County, God called him to full-time music ministry.

               Since the start of his full-time ministry in 2003, Jason has been on staff at two Churches of God in Eastern North Carolina. On August 28, 2010, Jason married the love of his life, Anna Whittington Hunt from Lexington, North Carolina. In October 2011, the Hunt’s came to Orangeburg to be apart of the pastoral staff of the Columbia Road Church of God. Since their arrival, Jason and Anna welcomed their first child, Jared Ellis, who was born in 2013. In 2015, the Hunts welcomed their second child, Connor, to the world. Finally in 2018, the Hunts welcomed their third child, Hayden Lucas. On July 24, 2018, Jason became an Exhorter Licensed Minister in the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee.  Jason has a passion for leading other into the presence of the Lord through contemporary praise & worship and directing the "One Voice" sanctuary choir.

               Jason enjoys exercising, shopping, eating at Outback Steakhouse, & Krispy Kreme. Jason also enjoys spending time with his wife and family!
